The Harsh Reality Facing Our Youth

Stats SA tells us that our youth accounted for over 60% of the total number of unemployed people.

Even when our youth do get into tertiary education the completion rate is Low.

  • 22% complete the 3-year degree in 3 years
  • 39% complete a 3-year degree in 4 year
  •  by year 6, only 56% of students who registered in 2010 have completed their 3-year degree.

CHALLENGES STUDENTS IN OUR COUNTRY FACE

Many South African students entering Higher Education remain “disadvantaged” and “underprepared”.  The Team at Khula is passionate about supporting students from areas with Limited Electricity and Water.

HOW ARE WE MAKING A DIFFERENCE THROUGH OUR PROJECTS?

Khula Bursary Company is closing the Gap on Financial constraints by ensuring better education opportunities to disadvantaged communities with full Bursary Support inclusive of Food and travel.

WHY WE SUPPORT YOUTH IN LIMITED SERVICES AREAS

Investing in our youth that come from Limited Services Areas is critical to allow them to have an opportunity to contribute towards a prosperous South Africa. These  Students would not have the opportunity for Tertiary Education without our full suport.
